In the first section of Shakespeare- ABAB I think he is asking should I compare you to a summer day, but you are more lovely then a summer day because sometimes the wind blows and destroys the flowers, and summer is to short of a beauty to compare you to. In his second section he has another point of view- something so beautiful might not be as great as you think it is, it could fade away, and of course get old. Like he says his gold might dim, his beauty might not shine like it use too. In section three he completely flips his view, he bascially says that the beauty can never fade, nor die, and she will always live through the words of the poem. His conclusion then states, "So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and gives life to thee. (G)" This is a good conclusion right here he says as long as this poem gets around, as long as people can read, this poem will be read and you will live through it.
Shakespeare Sonnet:
Music to hear, why hear'st thou music sadly? A
Sweets with sweets war not, joy delights in joy: B
Why lov'st thou that which thou receiv'st not gladly, A
Or else receiv'st with pleasure thine annoy? B
You have something like music, don't take it for granet, why think of it in a bad way?
Why have war, dont fight, joy is delightful
Why should you love someone who doesn't love you back, or doesn't appreciate you love?
Be appreciative
If the true concord of well-tuned sounds, C
By unions married do offend thine ear, D
They do but sweetly chide thee, who confounds C
In singleness the parts that thou shouldst bear: D
If this is what beautiful music sounds like
When people unite with marriage there disagreements you go through
They only bring you closer if you can compromise
When your single, you only worry about yourself
Mark how one string sweet husband to another, E
Strikes each in each by mutual ordering; F
Resembling sire, and child, and happy mother, E
Who all in one, one pleasing note do sing: F
Compare your husband to another
There is a common thing about all of them
The love, the kid, and the mother and wife
Together as a family they are united, they make one happy note
Whose speechless song being many, seeming one, G
Sings this to thee, 'Thou single wilt prove none' G
There are many marriages, but "seeming one" because they all can relate
Those who are single dont have to prove anything to anyone
Spencers Sonnet
The glorious portrait of that Angel's face, A
Made to amaze weak men's confused skill: B
And this world's worthless glory to embase, A
What pen, what pencil can express her fill? B
The picture I have of this beautiful girl
She was made so perfect that men dont even know how to talk to her
She shines through the worlds problems
There are no words to explain how beautiful she is
For though he colours could devise at will, B
And eke his learned hand at pleasure guide, C
Least trembling it his workmanship should spill, B
Yet many wondrous things there are beside. C
Even though he has a talent that he used at his will
And he uses his skills for his pleasure
his workmanship becomes weak
even though there are beautiful things
The sweet eye-glances, that like arrows glide, C
The charming smiles, that rob sense from the heart: D
The lovely pleasance and the lofty pride, C
Cannot expressed be by any art. D
He looks because he is tempted
The smile that his heart cant help but fall for
Her lovelyness and pride
Is to much to be shown on a piece of paper and color
A greater craftsman's hand thereto doth need, E
That can express the life of things indeed. E
No one can paint this picture except for god,
he made this beauty and no artist can paint it.
Does love last
By: Anna Hernandez
Will our lust linger on without a figure in this world dividing it?
Is there even temptation when your this in love or could it ever sever?
If Im not what you want, just let me know, without word you make me sick
You cant have love without honesty, dont be afraid to commit
When you speak to me, your eyes do too, I can tell when somethings wrong
Im not scared of the truth even though I might get mad, just a little bit
Problems only make us stronger but if you lie how do you expect this to be lifelong?
But you babe, you're different I feel our love is too strong
Nothing in this world can tear us apart even if we are so young
You have proved your love and respect for me and you have been true all along
Luis A. Hernandez you're like no other you truly got me sprung
Its me and you no matter what people say I know just how you feel
Does love last forever was the question, and to me I can't imagine it being anything but real.

Nice work here, especially your original sonnet. The only thing I think needs to happen here is that you should change the colors in the Spenser part. It is very difficult to read.
I give this poem the BEST POEM OF A LIFE TIME award.lol.. te amo bebe. the poem is great!
